On-Cape Lithographers was founded in the mid-seventies in the heart of one of America’s largest artists’ enclaves – Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  Early on, the company focused on the reproduction of local artists’ work, gaining popularity with unmatched quality and creative pricing. The business soon flourished by powerfully combining the two elements that are nearest and dearest to the working artist's heart - print excellence and value.

By the mid-eighties, the nation's most prestigious galleries began to discover and respect the business professionals and craftsmen of On-Cape as a company that understood the intricacies and demands of fine-art reproduction. With a modicum of promotion and a generous stream of word-of-mouth referrals, a veritable "Who's Who" of the museum world was soon among its clientele. Today, museums, galleries, art associations, and individual artists from Hawaii to Maine entrust their most precious artwork to On-Cape Lithographers.

In 2001, On-Cape Lithographers was acquired by Inkstone Printing Company of Brockton, Massachusetts.

“The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston has enjoyed a long relationship with On-Cape for our printing needs.  We have come to depend on their professionalism and the excellent print quality that we expect when reproducing our masterpieces."  The Museum of Fine Arts – Boston
